Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States, affecting over 40% of people by the time they reach the age of 65. Even with limited sun exposure and the use of an SPF 15 or greater sunscreen, not all skin cancer can be prevented. Dr. Ploplys performs skin cancer checks and skin cancer removal as part of her practice due to the great need for these services in Great Falls. She does not treat other dermatological problems. Patients that need Mohs surgery are referred to a partner dermatologist and then return to Dr. Ploplys for reconstruction.
