The Procedure
The BBL butt-augmentation procedure can last up to four hours. General anesthesia is administered to the patient before the procedure.
The procedure is composed of three steps. The first one is liposuction, which secures the necessary fat from other areas of the body. A small incision is made in the area where the fat is stored, and then a tube called a cannula is inserted. Medical suction is used to remove the fat through the tube.
The next step is purifying the fat to get rid of excess fluids and damaged or dead fat cells. Lastly, local anesthesia is administered to the buttocks, and then the purified fat is injected into several areas where micro incisions are made.
Healing and Recovery
The initial BBL recovery period is two weeks; during this time, the patient has to wear a supportive elastic garment and cannot lie on or sit on the buttocks.
